Kris Hoover

Kris was first introduced to the wonderful world of woodworking when he attended his first shop class as a 7th grader. He so enjoyed the class that he continued to take woodworking throughout high school.

Following high school, Kris attended college at Arizona State University pursuing a degree in secondary education. Upon graduation, Kris was able to teach woodworking as a Junior High wood shop teacher for 26 years.

In retirement, Kris has continued to enjoy woodworking. Using domestic and exotic woods from around the world, Kris creates interesting and bold contrasts. Also conscious of environmental concerns, Kris repurposes wood headed to landfills.
